1. Provider & scope
PlayPact is provided by MEIPAK-Studios GbR, Kastenbergerstraße 11, 84428 Buchbach, Germany (see legal notice). These terms apply to using PlayPact in the browser and as an app. By using it, you agree to them.
2. What PlayPact is
PlayPact helps groups pick a game together: you join a room, swipe through games, and when you agree, it's a match. On top of that there are features like a friends list, invitations, filters and a personal game library.
Using PlayPact is free of charge. There is no entitlement to specific features; we keep developing PlayPact and may change, add or remove features.
3. Use without an account
You don't need a user account with email or password. Your device automatically gets an anonymous identifier that links rooms, profile and friends list. If you delete the app, clear your browser data or switch devices, a new identifier is created and previous links are lost.
4. Minimum age
PlayPact is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please only use PlayPact with your parents' or guardians' permission. Some of the games shown have their own age ratings (e.g. USK/PEGI) — please respect them.
5. Code of conduct
PlayPact should be fun. That's why:
- No offensive, discriminatory, sexual, violence-glorifying or otherwise unlawful display names.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, the PlayPact team or a moderator.
- No spam, no harassment, no mass invitations to people who don't want them.
- No attempts to disrupt PlayPact, bypass security mechanisms or access other people's data.
6. Reporting, blocking & moderation
You can block other players at any time and report inappropriate names or behaviour. Whoever created a room can remove and ban members from that room. An automatic name filter rejects certain inadmissible names.
We review reports and may remove names or profiles and exclude people from using PlayPact if they breach these terms. We are not obliged to check content in advance.
7. Game info & trademarks
We compile the game titles, genres, platforms and release dates in PlayPact to the best of our knowledge, without guarantee of completeness or accuracy — release dates of announced games in particular may change. All game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. PlayPact is not affiliated with or endorsed by the publishers or platform operators.
8. Availability
We try to keep PlayPact running reliably but can't guarantee constant availability. Maintenance, technical faults or outages at service providers may temporarily limit use. Rooms are deleted automatically when the last person leaves, or at the latest after 30 days without activity.
9. Advertising
PlayPact may contain advertising in future to finance free use. Where your consent is required, we will ask for it in the app beforehand. Details will then be in the privacy policy.
10. Liability
As PlayPact is provided free of charge, we are only liable for intent and gross negligence. We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulently concealed defects and under the German Product Liability Act. Other users are responsible for the content they enter (e.g. display names).
11. Ending your use
You can stop using PlayPact at any time and remove your data in the app under Settings → "Delete my data". How to do this without the app is explained on the Delete data page. We may discontinue PlayPact with reasonable notice.
12. Changes & final provisions
We may adjust these terms if PlayPact or the law changes. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
